George Au-Yeung

George is an clinician-researcher at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and has a research interests in molecular biology of ovarian cancer as well as running novel biomarker driven clinical trials and translational research. He completed his PhD in Professor David Bowtell’s laboratory, investigating novel therapeutic strategies for Cyclin E1 amplified high grade serous ovarian cancer, a subset of ovarian cancers that behave aggressively and lack treatment options. He is now a full-time medical oncologist at Peter Mac, working across the Gynae-Oncology and Melanoma service, and is co-Deputy Director of Medical Oncology. He is an active member of ANZGOG, and holds current and former positions with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) and the Medical Oncology Group of Australia (MOGA).
