Nicola is a Senior Legal Counsel – Clinical at GenesisCare Australia and Company Secretary of the Gidget Foundation Australia. She is a practising solicitor admitted to the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia. Nicola began her legal career at MinterEllison where she worked in the Insurance and Corporate Risk team with a focus on litigation, professional negligence and Royal Commissions in the health, aged care and life insurance industries. She predominantly worked for state health departments, private hospital providers, aged care providers, medical defence organisations and life insurers. During her time at MinterEllison, Nicola was also seconded to Qantas Group in a competition and consumer law role. She then moved in-house to Ramsay Health Care Australia where she worked as a Corporate Counsel – Clinical across all of Ramsay’s private hospitals and day procedure centres nationally, before joining GenesisCare. Nicola is passionate about health law and promoting positive patient outcomes and experiences. Nicola also enjoys mentoring young people and volunteers as a mentor with Youth Off The Streets.
