Dr Tanjina Kader

Dr Tanjina Kader is a Post-doctoral Fellow in the Harvard Program in Therapeutic Science under the supervision of A/Prof Sandro Santagata and Prof Peter Sorger at Harvard Medical School (HMS; Boston, USA). She utilizes multi-modal spatial profiling to investigate the progression of High-Grade Serous Ovarian Carcinoma as a part of the Pre-cancer Atlas program, with the collaboration of Prof Ronny Drapkin from the University of Pennsylvania.
She completed her PhD in Cancer Genetics at the Sir Peter McCallum Cancer Centre Department of Oncology, University of Melbourne, in 2019, followed by a CCV Postdoctoral fellowship under the mentorship of A/Prof Kylie Gorringe. During her time at Petermac, Dr Kader investigated breast premalignant and preinvasive diseases, such as ADH and DCIS, and developed biomarkers for risk stratification. Her current and future work will involve understanding disease initiation, progression, and early detection.
